Backcountry Ski Skills: Venturing off the Groomed

Backcountry Ski Skills: Venturing off the Groomed

Skiing Date: Sat February 9, 2013

This is a one day clinic to be held at Cardigan Mountain in Alexandra, NH. Cardigan is a favorite of New England backcountry skiers and riders for both touring and downhill skiing. There is a large network of trails for all ability levels. The workshop caters to both XC skiers who are primarily interested in touring, as well as telemark skiers who want to start "earning their turns". We will work on some basic skills in the morning, and "simulate" a backcountry experience in the afternoon. We're aiming this clinic at novice backcountry skiers but we can and will adjust to the individual needs of the participants. If you are a more experienced backcountry skier who is seeking to ramp up your skill level and/or just join us for some great BC skiing, consider coming to our other workshop at Pinkham Notch later in February. For a full description see
